I want to push my limits
I know my capacity can grow

Underlying the surfaces I feel a “not enough”
not a “scarcity consciousness”
not a “not enough things I can claim”
it’s a not enough burden on my shoulders
a not enough risk on my name
it’s a not enough real impact on my hands
these open hands to mold and hold
urgently i need to touch something
and be moved by the world

Because if not me, than who?
so many go passed breaking point
the black people, the queer people,
the bees, the coral reefs…
I need to be more stressed out.

Yes I am marginalized too,
too often disappearing, people like me..
but the name for me is not obvious
my identity cannot be pinned or stamped out

it is in my eyes, in my heart…

they once called us communist
and it no longer fits
once called us hippies
and it no longer fits
once called us pagans, rainbows, abolitionists
and it no longer fits fits fits

we can therefore hold more
close to bosom and fireside
as the violent storm sweeps
sweeps sweeps…

I am
discretely creating a loving home,
uplifting the original ways to do this…
truly recognizing the value in every
one who shares this home with me…
getting past the judgements and into the wisdom…
living humbly… liberating wildness…
enacting justice and walking with integrity…
open to feedback
open to feedback…
calling for authenticity, connection, and consciousness…

so far
there's always more untapped
energy pouring through
destined for a legacy
that remains unnamed
