About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The dream is to learn Spanish and get a job teaching in South America. In the meantime, see as much of it as possible.

ABOUT ME

I am a friendly person who also cherishes time alone. I am pretty enthusiastic about most things that life has to offer: enjoying nature, the occasional theme park or similar adrenalin rush and partying till dawn when the mood takes me. I sometimes overthink things to the point of thinking more than doing, but am doing my best to overcome this and meeting dynamic people has been an inspiration.

PHILOSOPHY

Try everything you can and treat everyone fairly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have limited experience of Couchsurfing, but what I have had, has been positive. I have used it to meet people for drinks in new places and hopefully get to know the place through a native.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with Pablo in Bariloche, met Daniel for drinks in Santiago, met Amy for drinks in Sucre and other Couchsurfers by accident who always seem to be lovely people.

Interests

I like good films, books, paintings, plays, dances, basically being an audience for anything. I also love to dance (fairly), sing (badly) and have recently discovered the wonderful word of trekking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Wild Swans - Jung Chang, If this is a Man - Primo Levi, The Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kingsolver, The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao - Junot Diaz
Films (I`m English): Generally stuff that attempts a little more than most Hollywood films, although there`s nothing wrong with the occasional Steve Carrell film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent amazing thing in a series of amazing things on this trip around South America was trekking the ´W´ circuit in the Torres del Paine.

I can now add to this that I've climbed Huanyna Potosi...6,088 metres.

Teach, Learn, Share

English and am happy to share anything else, but I´m not sure what else I have.
