ABOUT ME

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with French and International Studies majors. Worked briefly as a real estate agent before starting a life as an ESL teacher.

I lived and taught in Lille, France for 3 years. I love France, French and the French. It truly feels like a 2nd home to me. Was a very hard decision to leave.

I then lived at home for about a year, before moving to Bangkok, Thailand to teach English. The main reason I chose Thailand is because it's my favorite food!

Now I find myself in South Korea and am very happy with my choice.

I'm friendly and like making people feel comfortable and I try to entertain.
My friends say that I'm dramatic, always thinking big.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tell everyone who will listen about CouchSurfing. I think it's the best idea to hit the internet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2007,Couchsurfed with 2 different people in the Netherlands,
then couchsurfed with an Irish potato salesman for St. Patrick's Day in Dublin, and stayed with awesome Paul Santero in Vienna.
2009-2010, Couchsurfed in Amsterdam, and in Nantes, Frances.
Was able to pay back to the community by hosting 4 New Zealanders in Madison, WI and then St. Paul, MN back in the U S of A.

Since then, I've couchsurfed and hosted a number more times as you can see by my references.

兴趣

My biggest interests are walking, seeing new places, eating good food and reading interesting books and things on the internet!

Now I'm playing a lot of Volleyball at my school.

I used to do a lot of downhill skiing and snowboarding, tennis, any racket sports for that matter, and golf.

Aside from these activities, my biggest passion is exploring this world we live in, and learning about life through conversing with others. I love speaking French also.

There are many different genres of movies I like, if it was well put together, with an interesting plot and moving dialogue, i'll most likely like it!
I'm open to a lot of different music, Old favorites that always pump me up are Marz Volta, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Decemberists and Svejen Stevens. But more recently, I love electro music, anything from Techno - House to Dub-step.
Books, some Fiction books I like are all of Dan Brown's books, Micheal Crichton's books (of Jurassic Park fame). Mostly though, I read Non-Fiction books about things that are happening, and that have happened, in the world.

I am an Eagle Scout, that's right, that means I made it through all the levels of boy scouts and have received the highest level. I even received a letter from the president himself.
So when your thinking of letting me stay on your couch or not, just remember "A Scout is: Trustworthy Loyal Helpful Friendly Courteous Kind Obedient Cheerful Thrifty Brave Clean Reverent."
