About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To knock out 6 more months at work to retire with 30, and start travelling.
ABOUT ME
I was born for the islands, but somehow got misplaced. I believe I am meant to be a sailor, but I wasted most of my life and all of my good years working before I could kinda afford to do it. I had a 19' shoal draft Com-Pac sailboat that I would occasionally take out in the Gulf of Mexico aiming for a barrier reef island. Hurricane Gustav tossed a tree abeam of it and smashed it in half. Now I own a 17' travel trailer that I plan to full time in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only planned a stay once in Barbados, but they stood me up a week before my trip, so I had to get a hotel. Have had several people stay here, though. It was pretty nice hanging out with travelers.
Couchsurfing.com would have everyone think I'm some kind of ghost with all their "unverified" statuses, but the 10 references I have would say differently. I have to pay them a certain amount of money and suddenly I'm verified? No.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have very limited basic cable and I never turn it on since I work shift work and even if there was something I wanted to see, I couldn't keep up with it from week to week, so I don't.
Instead, I have my PC hooked up to my 42" TV and play video games on it.
I have a ton of movies on PC for when I wanna watch something.
I have just taken an interest in covert ops type of books like Ghost Recon. That's due to me just recently starting to play the same kinds of video games.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving in Mexico, paying a bribe to the cops in Mexico, parasailing in St. Thomas, ziplining in Barbados, Segway trip in Barbados, snorkeling with turtles in Barbados, sailing the beautiful blue waters of Barbados on a 12' Hobie cat. When I was 19 I was a deckhand on an offshore tugboat and I had to change a light bulb on the top of a mast in 20 foot seas in a hurricane. Surprising that I want to live on the water, huh?

Uh, what's with this VERIFY thing? I'm supposed to pay $20 a year and that somehow makes you feel safer staying with me??? And they don't even bother telling you what you are paying the money for...voila, you're verified! Congrats! I'll pass. Read my references. You can stay here or you can not stay here.
