ABOUT ME

My name is Mae. I love travelling and living in different places with my partner Jesse (http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/gutmania/). I have been lucky to have lived in Canada (Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal and Vancouver), Korea (Seoul), the Philippines (Manila) and France (Grenoble). I am passionate about food (i LOVE cooking for friends and I would definitely cook for my host and guests time permitting), theatre, films, politics and social justice.

My favorite thing to do is to have a wonderful meal and to share stories with interesting people.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best experience I have had through couchsurfing was staying in a squat during Guy Fawkes day in Lewes, England. The squat was really like a community centre that was totally organized and more an art space for young people. Being in Lewes during Guy Fawkes day was also very special (picture bonfires the size of houses, 7 huge fireworks displays at the same time, and parades of costumed torchbearers throughout the streets).

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Guy Fawkes Day in Lewes England, the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, the Fete des lumieres in Lyon France, taking a cable car through the valleys along the Great Wall of China, motor biking and snorkeling in Bohol, getting married to my wonderful partner!
