About Me

Hello hello! I am here with Emil, a very very good friend of mine! We're hardly trying to organize a messy trip to Spain and looking for nice persons to meet and welcoming places (just a couch would be more than enough) to stop on our way.

We are very curious about everything, especially culture and history. We are really social and (sometimes maybe too) talkative and hardly getting bored. We'd love to discover new people to share culture and conversations! We enjoy trying new stuff, even if they seem weird to us at first sight, we usually like it in the end! We also stand for humanitarian values (I read this on another couchsurfer profile who was an absolutely amazing guy and I think it looks good so I'm copying :D)

I personally love to look at the stars at night (I can also tell half of the constellations in the northern sky), I do lots of hiking but only if the landscape is nice and I also really enjoy looking at the fishes under the sea while swimming even though I swim very slow... I also enjoy tasting traditional dishes and beverages because one of my friends told me one day that we needed to eat and drink to survive, so let's eat and drink good stuff!

I (Emil) like partying but also evenings spent to talk about more or less interesting things, sitting in a bar or at a random place which is not meant to be at. I love hiking, with only a bag and a tent (and with friends preferably), playing tennis, reading, and discover new people and cultures. Even if it is very easy to stay in our comfort zone and talk only with people like us, I think it is much less sympathetic than sharing our differences

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a unique way to travel, that has nothing to do with hostels or Airbnb. From my (little) experiences and what I heard of it, it is truly enriching and now when I am not in couchsurfing I feel like I miss the biggest part of the place I am in.
Since I am very sociable person, I also love to get to know people, to share experience and views about everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Miyasaki films are amazing for me, then I don't know, Mademoiselle by Park Chan-wook

Books: San Perdido by David Zukerman (best book of all timeswithout hesitation), the whole bibliography of Stefan Zweg, Virginie Despentes (for more of a feminist reading)...

Music: The Pretty Reckless, Twenty One Pilots, Eminem, Scorpions, Gaël Faye, La Femme, Johan Papaconstantino, Biga Ranx, Sofiane Pamart (piano dream), Keny Arkana and many others amazing unknown French artists. I'm also looking for good latino music!!

Then if you have any recommendations I'll be delighted!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spend one month in an ecovillage in Tenerife in the Canary Islands, travelling on the island during weekends.

One day, I was all cheerful, on my way to a little city and got lost with the buses, I missed my bus, couldn't buy the right ticket... until a canarian grandpa started helping me. I was managing with my spanish the best I could.

He gave me advices and finally he ended up taking me on a tour in the little city which was his hometown. So, I got a personal guide tour and invited me for lunch in a little restaurant.

It was really a nice unexpected day and beautiful meeting! (and I never felt unsafe)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you about my life and travels :D then teach you what my grandma teached me, how to cook crepes or how to be amazed of every stupid thing you see

Then I would be happy to learn any kind of knowledge useful or completly useless, your whole life, your existential questions, what your grandma teached you or whatever you'd like to teach me actually :D
