New student in Clermont Ferrand for a year.

I am currently living in Clermont - Ferrand with a friend of mine.
We are pretty easy going and are happy to meet new people.
We can offer our couch which turn into a bed.

I am Maëllia, a twenty two french girl. I am easygoing and trying to be happy most of the time because we are lucky to be in this world!
I am easygoing and autonomous and enjoy travelling, hiking and meeting new people.

I've been studying education for 3 years and I took two years break to travel.

I've been travelling Australia for 10 months and it was an amazing dream. I wanted to improve my english and prove myself that travelling on my own will be the best thing to learn how to be confident with myself.
After that I've been working a year as a french teacher in Minnesota and had some time to travel during the school breaks. Teaching french to american kids was so gratifying. They grew up so much during a year and were very good with their french.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and love people who are travelling more than I do because they can always give some advice and good places to go!

I am curious and like to learn more about life and people. To me, it is always good when people share their knowledge because everybody has something rewarding for someone else.

Also I think that Couchsurfing is a good way to practice languages and can make you feel like you are travelling by staying at home.
I'd like to share nice moments and tips.

Interests

I like listening to music.
I enjoy dancing, hanging out with friends, hiking and meeting new people.
I love cooking and I am a food lover. It is always a pleasure to have friends over for a good diner and appetizers.

Also, I really really love nature and are starting rock climbing this year.
For my 23rd birthday I asked to have the equipment to go camping. So I will start as soon as possible to go hiking and camping in the french mountains because France is a wonderful country !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been travelling Indonesia during one month and it was such a nice experience. To learn their way of life and see how poor they are and how happy they can be was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook french meals and also sweet desserts as Gateau marbré, Mousse au chocolat, ile flottante!

We can share some tips about the city, nice discussions, beers and laughs.
