About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish my BA in Anthropology and either join peace corps in Central America or move to Berlin!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 22 year old Anthropology Major at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I love to travel, and have been scuba diving in Mexico (mostly the Yucatan Peninsula) since I received my diving certification when I turned 12. I have also been to Costa Rica, and various parts of the US. This summer I have been living in Berlin working for an English language summer camp, and it has been a great opportunity for me to have a working holiday and see Europe. Anything more you'd like to know feel free to ask, I consider myself a laid back person, and love meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to see as much of the world as I possibly can, and I believe studying Anthropology is a good foundation for this. I read Into the Wild in high school, and that was a huge influence on me at the time and continues to be. Since then I have come to realize that wisdom and knowledge comes from seeing the world from as many different perspectives as possible, and I really value experiences and people over all else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had the opportunity to host couch surfers yet, but since I have met other couch surfers over the course of my travel this summer I plan on hosting people over the next year when I return to Detroit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only stayed with a couch surfer in Munich, and it was a great experience, his apartment was great, and we went to an international festival the night I was there. An excellent time, considering I only stayed with him for one night.
