Overview
About Me
Hello everyone ! My name is Maeva and since 2014, I am a Sign Language Interpreter in the south of France. From January to December 2019, I am living/travelling in the US with my boyfriend, then after that we will be back in France and host again in the South East of France, near to beautiful criks !
I love to travel and meet new people from over the world, share with them about culture, travel, hobbies... I do think the best way to travel is being with locals more than do the most popular touristic attractions. This is why I am also on Help Exchange and I have been a Helper in China (helping a family and their neighbors to improve their English writing and speaking) and in Taïwan (help in an hostel and meet so many people from Asia and over the world as well !)
I think myself as a friendly person, open-minded, respectful, attentive and curious about people, cultures and languages.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I said, I love to travel and I had the opportunity to do it a lot and I always try to meet people by going to hostels, do some help exchange or even stay at people's home (guesthouse, AirBnB with a shared room...) I did host people when I was living in France myself, and it has always been amazing to meet new people, learn from them, share stories and experiences... I heard about Couch Surfing from people I hosted and some friends too, so I decided to give it a try ! And I really enjoyed my first experience, me and my boyfriend truly loved to host people to during our short stay in Washington D.C. ! For now we are travelling in West America so we hope we can meet some local via Couch Surfing !
