About Me

LATEST UPDATE! I am moving back to Europe early July so I won't be able to host in Portland after that date :(
I'll let you know when I get back on my feet and have a room ready for you guys in Spain :)

CURRENT MISSION

Discover the world and all its cultures.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 2nd grade French immersion teacher in Portland at the moment. I am also a pole dancer, a singer, a climber and yogi!

I like travelling a LOT. I have a passion for music, so you always hear me sing something. I usually travel with my guitar, so I can sing you a little tune !

I love meeting new people and speaking many languages. I learnt Mandarin while in China for two years and tried to learn German last year (that was a bit of a fail..).

I'm half French, half Spanish so i like cheese and wine and dancing salsa haha. I like partying but I also enjoy relaxing and talking while sipping on a glass of wine.
I am very active and usually have activities every day after school, whether it is climbing, pole dancing, yoga, dance class, I'm very often on the go!

I am fairly chatty, I like laughing a lot. I am very easy going and up for adventures !

(so many I's in this description!)

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Enjoy yourself, while you are in the pink.
The years go by as quickly as a wink.
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host Couch Surfers in our Portland home. I also hosted in China quite a bit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed for the first time in Paris, France a few years ago, from then I've been surfing in the US and in China.

I also used the groups a lot to meet people and hang out. I loved it ! It's such a great way to meet friends, musicians, artists.. I hung out with CSers in NOLA, Chicago, Minneapolis, Qingdao, Shanghai...

Also, outside the official CS website, I got to meet a LOT of incredible people, I've hosted strangers at the last minute because they didn't know how to get home, i've crashed at random people's house because I didn't know how to get home :) I talk, laugh, go out, drink, eat with people from everywhere in the world.

I'm a TV shows kind of girl. My favourite I think would be Shameless. I also really enjoy Orange is the New Black, Girls, Suits, New Girl, the Good Wife, Game of Thrones and Jane the Virgin, my new addiction ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen : Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Cuba, Northern Argentina, Iguazu, Rio de Janeiro, Ilha Grande, the Red Sea, New Orleans, Yellow Stone National Park, Badan Jarain Desert with the highest dunes in the world and lakes, grasslands of Inner Mongolia, Rainbow Mountains in Gansu. The fabulous landscapes of Costa Rica, Grand Canyon, Yosemite park...

Done :
- diving through a school of pink jellyfish in the Red Sea, looking at colorful fish, that was simply amazing !
- eating dog (hum...)
- being once a week on Chinese TV singing,,
- busking alone on the streets, swimming in a lake in the desert
- hitchhiking in Inner Mongolia
- jumping a 45m high Tarzan swing with 10m free fall
- flying through Costa Rican landscape superman style !
- doing a couple of pole dance recitals

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a qualified French teacher so i can teach you French ! I also am half Spanish and fluent in English so I can teach any of those three languages!

Im always happy to practice my languages like Mandarin or Portuguese.

I can teach basic guitar and maybe singing ? I can teach you a couple of pole dance moves too! I have a pole at home, come try it, it's fun! I also like to invert and to teach people how to do headstands and forearm stands :)

I like to arm balance and do challenging yoga poses, I like to help people realize their body has more abilities than they think it does. So if you want to try inverting on your hands, forearms or head, I can help you :)

I love to learn how to cook new things, I'm pretty useless at cooking, well I try very hard and I love it but i'm not Marc Veyrat...

What I Can Share with Hosts

A glass of wine or a beer? ;)

Well I pretty much said everything just above!
