Overview
About Me
I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for over a decade before the pandemic hit. COVID forced me (similarly to a lot of others) to stay at home for almost three years… so now I’m ready to get back out into the world, travel to new places, learn new things, and make new friends!
I enjoy talking about psychology, social issues, current news & politics, world affairs, spirituality, philosophy, education, and relationships. I’m an ENFJ and get along with most people, overall.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m in-between things in life! Just trying to explore and take it all in.
SUMMER 2022:
I traveled to New Mexico to explore Santa Fe and Albuquerque, as I have some family down that way but had never visited the state. It was such a phenomenal experience and I really hope to visit again.
FALL 2022:
I traveled back and forth between Chicago and Atlanta for a work project. Now that the project is over, I have a few open weeks to travel and explore before heading to Minnesota for the December holidays.
SUMMER 2023:
Staying in Minnesota these past few months has made me ready to travel out of state again! I am planning trips to Oakland, California, and New Orleans, Louisiana, this summer.
FALL 2023:
Hopefully I’ll visit Chicago and Atlanta again at least once each!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most varieties of entertainment - except country music hahahha. Lately I’ve enjoyed listening to R&B, hip-hop, indie pop, jazz and instrumentals, and nature sounds. I love Rihanna 💕
I’m a pretty big rom/com and action/adventure movies fan. Comedy (or laughter, more specifically) is good for the soul. My all-time favorite movie is “10 Things I Hate About You.”
I used to read a lot more books when I was younger. Now, I mostly use Audible. A recent book I started reading was “The Body Keeps the Score.”
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The biggest accomplishment in my life was probably successfully completing my Bachelor’s Degree. Now I’m hoping for a Masters… I would love to complete a PhD in Sociology one day.
Something fun I can mention here is that I tried surfing in Bali in 2012 and was horrible at it hahahaha but at least I tried 🌊
Teach, Learn, Share
I sometimes teach English as a second language (TEFL or ESL)… but I’m also all about learning new things. It’s so important to be a life-long learner!!
I have a very basic understanding of the Spanish language, but cannot speak enough to facilitate a conversation successfully, yet anyway (I tried while in Albuquerque, New Mexico in August 2022 and failed lol).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’ve traveled to four (4) other countries outside the United States:
- Canada
- Mexico
- Philippines
- Indonesia
My lifelong dream is to visit Brazil, eventually!
