My mission is to constantly evolve as a human being! I like to push myself to live better so I can enjoy my time on earth and find meaning in my life.

ABOUT ME

I'm strong-minded and very honest, both with myself and others. I'm sociable, talkative and very approachable. I'm energetic and driven by intense passions. These keep me alive and alert to the magnificent world around me. I am also in love with all types of discovery. It fascinates me to find out about new things.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everyone has something to give back to the world. We've all been given life. In that life, by finding what we desire to do and what makes us happy, we find what we are in turn meant to be doing. I believe that it is only in doing what we love that we can find meaning in life. It is only when we are at balance that we can give back to the world and if we do, we can be at peace with all that is, part of the energy flow of the universe.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host at the moment since I'm currently travelling, however I am more than willing to do so whenever I do settle down somewhere. At the moment I'm surfing for places to stay since I don't really have a touchdown place!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been on one couchsurfing experience in Prague which was wonderful and so I'm extremely eager to continue being part of this global community!

Interests

My main passions are varied: acting, travelling, economic and politics and personal/spiritual discovery. They are my oxygen, almost literally! I'm also a keen dancer and singer - I'm into performing basically. Reading, writing and watching films and series are also high up on my interest list. I like a good novel or play but also like keeping up with the news or watching a nice film or documentary. I also write chronicles about my experiences every now and again. I'm a runner as well. It makes me feel healthy and it lays off energy flow. Music could definitely not be excluded from this list. For me, life needs a soundtrack.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very fond of Brazilian music, Fado, Jazz and Electronic music as well. I'm a keen listener of Fat Freddy's Drop, Nicolas Jaar, Maria Gadú, Seu Jorge, John Coltrane, Bebo & Cigala, The XX, Metronomy, Eryka Baduh and many others. Some of my favourite films are A Clockwork Orange, Notes on a Scandal, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining, Black Swan, Romeo & Juliet, etc. Lolita, by Nabokov is probably one of my favourite books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the The Iguazu Falls was one of the most amazing things I've done in my life. I had never been thus overwhelmed by nature, until I travelled to Chile, Bolivia and Peru. These were sensory and soulful experiences that I am almost unable to express through words. I felt like a tiny piece of an immense ecosystem. I felt like the grandiosity of mother nature was immeasurable. I was also able to further develop my spiritual connection to the universe and all that is alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

Recently I've been wanting to learn about relaxation techniques. I'm an enthusiastic person with many dreams to make come true! However, I can get caught up in all the things I want to achieve. I'd like to learn to take things more lightly sometimes. As for what I have to share, I believe that I can pass on honesty and straight-forwardness. I believe in genuine encounters and I'm pleased to say that I try my best to offer my true self to others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm more than willing to share travel experiences and advice from places that I've visited. I've also worked as a translator, so I can offer proof-reading and writing advice for English, Portuguese and Spanish. I'm an avid reader and follower of world news, politics and economics so I can offer a healthy debate if that something that appeals to you!
