I'm Mafe, a Barranquilla native in love with life and the world. I consider myself a cheerful, kind, talented, and above all, a traveling person. For many years, I've been able to travel around my country, experiencing the different cultures, flavors, smells, and colors of Colombia. And in recent years, I had my first international trip to Peru, which was incredible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on Couchsurfing for many years. I believe this platform is one of the most incredible ways to experience other cultures without leaving your city, and it also gives you the power to showcase the best of your area from your own perspective. I've made some great friends here, and whenever I can, we go out to explore the city. If I'm not available, I can still help with recommendations for my city or nearby cities. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible thing I have done has been to make the decision to volunteer, to share my time, my love, and my passion with those who do not have the same opportunities as me. It has undoubtedly been the best thing that has happened to me. Not only because I can share what I know, but because I learn from each person, to be a better person and continue sharing love in the world. And that is what the world needs most. LOVE.

Another incredible thing I did and one of my favorite trips was going to see whales in the Colombian Pacific. It was an out-of-this-world experience to be able to see these huge animals up close.

Teach, Learn, Share

There are many things I could teach. Firstly, my Spanish language, I can also teach about photography and videos, including photo and video editing. And of course, music, either percussion or guitar.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Nothing would make me happier than capturing photos of the people I will meet, so I can offer a photo session to my hosts along with my knowledge of photography, videos, music. I can also share stories about my country, laugh, and learn from each other, and why not share my culture through gastronomy. Of course, I will also be available to help with necessary tasks during our stay together.
