Hi we are Magda Slomska & Daniel Helta. We live and work in Warsaw. Most of our free time we spend traveling around Poland and Europe. We plan to hit the road and live for a while in Asia.

Magda: I am a great example of a lawyer who is not boring:)) the best way to check it out is to meet me. It is really hard to talk about oneself, yet I must admit, based on what my friends say, that I am a really good and helpful person. I like to make new friends and get to know new cultures or learn interesting information about anything. At the same time I am rather calm and responsible.

Daniel: I am a good travel and sight seeing companion. I love traveling and making new friends with people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Magda & Daniel: We plan to travel and would like to get to know people who live in places we visit. It will simply give us a better idea of the culture, habits and every day life.

Interests

Magda: What I love the most is to ride on a bike. Apart from that I enjoy practicing other sports and spending my free time in an active manner. I love listening to good music, chatting with friends over a cup of coffee in a fancy cafes and walking through a forest with nordic walking sticks. A the same time I am interesting in self development and soft skills - I've been reading quite many books about coaching, self-development, developing habits and improving everyday life.

Daniel: I am a huge football fun. My favorite team is of course Real Madrid. I love snowboarding and playing golf. Each Sunday I go to cinema.

Music, Movies, and Books

Magda: My favorite books are for sure Lonely Planet guide books; Love, pray & eat by Elizabeth Gilbert; The power of habit by Charles Duhigg, The shadow of the wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Millennium Series by Stieg Larsson, The 4-hour workweek by Tim Ferris, Quo wadis by Henryk Sienkiewicz.
My favourite movies are Forrest Gump, Love Actually, Groundhog day, La grande bellezza. My favorite series has always been Sex and the city and recently also Private detective (1 season) and House of cards.
I don't have any special favorite music and listed to anything I find nice. Lately I've been listening to Jessie Ware, Chopin, Zaz and Pink Martini.

Daniel: My favorite movies are Gladiator and the movies of Woody Allen and Pedro Almodovar. My favorite books are The secret, The Da Vinci Code, The Diving Bell and the butterfly.
I have no favorite music genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Magda: I went to Norway looking for northern lights which I luckily managed to admire 4 days in a row. A-ma-zing!

Daniel: For 5 years I was helping Erasmus students in Gdansk (north of Poland). I still have good contact lithesome of them.
