My name is Magda and I am a polish girl who finally graduated in production engineering. I come from small town in eastern Poland. I was brought up in the house in the middle of forest, which was full of love to animals and nature. To gain proper education I moved to a boarding school in Cracow where I got passionate about social and voluntary work. I may truly say that it was a life changing decision. So far, I have had two gap years and I have done several voluntary projects so I am quite experienced.

Starting from teaching English, playing with kids, working with refugees, finishing with building solar lamp panels and working at Vietnamese hostel.
To bring together my travel enthusiasm and need of studying, I have found a job at the hostel where I have been working for over 3 years. I really do love it and I like thinking about it as a passive way of travelling. You no longer seek for an amazing experience abroad, but for the people, for the relation, for the friendship.

I am a cheerful, open-minded person who is curious about life and other surprises. I like changes, discovering things and assimilating at new places.

I’m fond of dogs, sailing and cinematography. Other things I love are my bike and cycling around the city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion there is no better way to discover real culture of the place like meeting locals and see it by their eyes. Sharing ideas and points of view is the best investment in yourself.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to cinematography it is always difficult to decide. I guess that depends on my age, mood and experience. Above all I enjoy the movies of Jim Jarmusch, Terry Gilliam, Xavier Dolan and Wes Anderson.

I could teach you some Polish (if only you feel brave enough to try), cook something vegan or vegetarian or share a few crazy stories based on my experience working in a party hostel.
