About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

ABOUT ME

I'm not a big deal. At all. I guess I'm nice. I'm talkative. Maybe a bit too talkative. I love laughing and having fun. Chocaholic. Ice cream, Pringles and Haribo lover. Traveller. American studies graduate. Management student. Always spontaneous and sometimes reckless (only sometimes!) Energetic. Seizing the day. Boredom-hater. Dog and cat lover (hi to Pregusia, Maja, Taja & McVigor ;-) Eeyore fan. Beginner slackliner. Gym freak.
Let's meet and get to know each other!:-)

PHILOSOPHY

"You can't make footprints in the sands of time by sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave buttprints in the sands of time?" (Bob Moawad)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, hosting, and participating in CS meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined CS in 2010 and have met lots of amazing people since then. I've taken part in tons of meetings, shown Poznan to my guests, met lots of CSers in different countries, hosted but haven't surfed much! I can say I've had 99,9% of positive experiences with CSers and I guess that 0,1% is just the exception that proves the rule - CS is terrific!

Music, Movies, and Books

If you had a look at my playlist, you would be surprised. It includes indie rock music like Cobra Starship (Gabe, will you ask me out?), the Killers (they're coming to Krakow in August, yay!), Florence and the Machine, Kings of Leon; country music: Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Johnny Cash; Bob Marley always makes me feel positive and summer-like; classical music, especially Mozart, is my bedtime music. I like Glee compilations as well.
Books: Bill Bryson's books - I'm a huge fan! Sinclair Lewis's "Babbitt" and "Main Street" (I wrote my MA thesis on them), Amy Tan's "The Joy Luck Club", novels of Henry James and Edith Wharton.
Movies: Oh, it's an always-changing list - I'm quite picky! I like comedies (but not the stupid ones - Ben Stiller and the Hangover - no, thank you!), I do like witty and funny romantic comedies, good drama films. I don't watch horror and science-fiction films. Some titles? Here you go: How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, Dragonfly, Holiday, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Audrey Hepburn Story, Breakfast at Tiffany's, In Good Company, Shall We Dance?, You've Got Mail, The Devil Wears Prada, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Cinderella Man, The Proposal, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Midnight in Paris, the Artist, and many many more.
TV shows: Gossip Girl, 90210, House MD.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There have been a few so far. Best to talk about them over a cup of coffee!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking so I can teach you how to make DELICIOUS cookies. Now, I'm learning how to make Pierogi so stay tuned because I'm gonna teach that soon! ;-)
I can also teach you Polish - Polish is difficult but I'm a gifted teacher ;-)
