ABOUT ME
I was born in a little village in the Lower Silesia in January of 1987. It was a year of relative world peace and in Poland one could already feel the fresh breeze from the West. It was a year in which Metallica’s first concert took place and in which USA economic embargo against PRL was abolished. However, that fresh breeze arrived much later to distant villages, and as a result my early memories are filled with visions of forbidden countries, in which life was much better. As a child I used to think a lot about the western countries and always wanted to find out would it be to live there. I had all I ever needed. I had friends, crayons and was surrounded by vast forests. I played chess, painted walls and built treehouses. Meanwhile, my parents were already planning my future as a doctor, or perhaps an engineer. Against their will, in high school I enroled to a humanistic class as per “I am a man, I consider nothing that is human alien to me.”
PHILOSOPHY
Time spent wishing is time waisted.
Realisation that sky is the limit.
My personal quote box collection:
Laziness is the absence of movement and thought, dumb time-total amnesia. It is also indifference, staring at nothing, nonactivity, impotence. It is sheer stupidity, a time of pain, of futile concentration. Those virtues of laziness are important factors in art. Knowing about laziness is not enough, it must be practiced and perfected.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Some years ago. I had a plan for crazy trip but it didn't work out. It was too to make it work, so i surrender. I decided not to make same mistakes and make my plans real.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
By now I've spent amazing time in Sarajevo and Tirana. I would not be able to learn so much about these places without help from Oli and Kevin.
Interests
Whilst choosing the univeristy degree my parents’ pragmatism won over me and I abandoned the thought of studying at Academy of Fine Arts and choose a technical degree. As a result of such decision I studied mathematics and engineering. After studying for three years the one thing I learned was that I did not want to be an engineer. Construction, building and mathematics were all fun to me, but it was not something I intended to do for living. Therefore, I decided to end my adventure with an engineering degree.
This is how I ended up being a fourth year student of Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. I am undertaking the Graphic Arts and Media Art. Since I started to connect my future with graphics and applied arts, I new that the most important aspect about my studies and work is going to be a constant self-improvement and expansion of horizon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Eating 6 ice creams from Ikea at once. Sleeping 20 hours. Lancing a wheel. Seeing my friend killing fly with his bare hands. Not being able to specify whether vertical like is really vertical because of looking at it so long. Being lost somewhere between Belgium and France for 3 hours during New Years Eve. Road system is really complicated there. We were going round the circles.
