Overview
About Me
I'm in a constant state of wanderlust which is bothersome at times.
I love being surrounded by nature - wandering aimlessly in a forest or listening to the sea. Or hiking in the mountains. I also try to live more sustainably and reduce my personal waste to help our planet.
I have a great passion for dancing and I'm usually very active. I also work out regularly because it feels sooo good.
It happens that I get immersed in a book and disappear from the outside world - I tend to be a little bit geeky at times.
I don't have a monthly ticket in my city and I go everywhere by bike. It's pink by the way.
I know that education is crucial but I also think that we mostly learn from practice, so being curious about stuff is always the most important.
My dream is to publish a novel.
I'm a tea addict.
One day I want to be mobile and just move from one place to another and experience constant jumping into a new environment. Probably I won't do it for a lifetime but I can't imagine not trying.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, at the very beginning it was about learning about cultures and all this kind of stuff but then it changed. Now I like the idea that you just jump into someone else's life, you skip all the "getting to know" process which usually takes so long, you share moments, you connect and then you go. There's something pure in it but it might be bitter.
So I want to travel and fully experience places where I go, talk to people and let them surprise me. I want to collect memories and find inspiration in them.
Some people find my way of travelling a bit weird because I can stay in the same place for one week but I like it - to watch the city how it behaves, how it lives during week days and during the weekends, how it goes to sleep and how it wakes up. I don't feel a pressure to see as much as possible because there's a whole world out there and you won't be able to visit every place anyway. But I don't mind!
Nowadays I usually travel alone and using CS makes it possible not to be alone. Even when I stay in a hostel (happens sometimes), I always want to hang out with local CS people! Once I even reunioned with my previous host and we travelled together. It was one of the best trips ever!
Also, my CS experience was almost always amazing, with only small exceptions but hey, that happens.
Interests
In short - travelling, dancing, hiking, books (especially fantasy and magic realism), sports, modern art (I don't really have much knowledge about it but I just love wandering around modern art museums). Constant search for inspiration wherever I can find it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Favourites : Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings books (although it was always bittersweet to read them), Little, big by John Crowley. Also: The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, Neil Gaiman and Haruki Murakami's prose in general and great nostalgia for HP series, it was so formative. Oh and The Moomins, Snufkin is my hero, really.
Movies: Big fish, Only lovers left alive, Great expectations (the 1998 version), Into the wild, LOTR.
Music: mostly indie/ alternative/ folk
