About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get to know Mexico, a country I've heard so much about. To visit my friends who grew up there and call it home. To eat tacos and drink mezcal.
ABOUT ME
I'm Danny or Dan or Daniel. It's a flexible name. I particularly like it because of how the sound carries nicely into Portuguese, Spanish, Hebrew - any language where biblical names are common.
Until the end of 2018, I had lived for two incredible years in Curitiba, the biggest capital city in southern Brazil. Now I'm back to living full-time in my hometown of Philadelphia. Not too long from now I'll be starting a graduate degree program, also in Philly. In the meantime, I'm nursing my travel addiction.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Even though I love being out there and experiencing new things in new places, I'm truly a homebody. I love being at home. I seek out home wherever I may wander.
What better way to learn about and enjoy a new place than through the eyes - and from the couch - of someone who lives it everyday?
Interests
I love playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, and practicing yoga, writing, reading, watching good tv and movies, listening to podcasts and music. No matter where I am, I never seem to stop thinking about cooking and eating. I make it a point to sample cuisine from across the globe. Greek and Vietnamese fair are among my favorites.
