Overview
About Me
Hello, I'm Maggie! I just graduated (May 2015) from Purdue University in West Lafayette. I am spending the year as a communications coordinator in Indianapolis. I will then be relocating to Los Angeles. I love to try new things, especially recipes and hiking trails. I am very easy to get a long with and enjoy making others laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and meet new people. I have lived in Indianapolis my entire life and enjoy exploring all that the world (so far just the United States) has to offer. I believe that it's hard to get to know an area truly by just staying in a hotel. I have found myself doing things that better define the city by staying with locals and avoiding too touristy of things. I understand this feeling with Indianapolis; you won't find any of my favorite restaurants on a tourism website! I have heard good things from friends on Couchsurfing, so I'm exciting to give it a try myself.
Interests
Hiking, kayaking, tennis, photography, cooking (and eating), traveling, meeting new people, reading, writing and the occasional Netflix binge.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is always way too difficult to choose and to keep brief. I love a strange but wonderful mix of movies, music and books. Aside from the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series, I have read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. I love the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and almost every Disney Pixar movie. I enjoy listening to anything from Blink-182 to Hans Zimmer. I will admit, though, that country still hasn't grown on me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think I would describe the first mountain (no matter how small it was) that I climbed to the top to as pretty amazing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am very tidy and wouldn't be a burden to any host. I have a great sense of humor (so I'm told) and I love to tell stories. I also love listening to others share stories.
