Am a bit of an idiot mostly, but a gentle idiot, interested in environmental sciences and saving the planet from our human knack of over-exploitation and destruction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to surfing couches from strangers of the internet but I've heard good things (and seen so many great profiles with excellent people and swell philosophies). Along with the want of meeting genuine, good folk, I am also just a few dollars above broke (let's be honest).

HOW I'VE PARTICIPATED IN COUCHSURFING
My old Auckland home is a commune of 20 people and we've hosted a few interesting people from around the globe. I had also ended up travelling around the North Island of New Zealand with a few of them and we're still good mates.

Interests

I love the great outdoors! Forty minutes away from where I live is the Waitakere Ranges in Auckland which is a massive expanse of native trees and breath-taking cliff side beaches.

I enjoy whack Science Fiction films and novels.

Food, wine and laughter with fun people is also an excellent way to spend time.

Alabama Shakes, Madeline Peyroux, Brooke Fraser, Nina Simone.. can appreciate any genre really. There's so much music out there.

The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (am a little bit lame, sorry)

Books:
Authours like Bryce Courtenay and Taylor Caldwell make me very happy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day is amazing. Or at least it ought to be. One moment is never the same, comparing it to a previous one before only dulls the one you're in now.
