About Me

I'm an easygoing college student who's just trying to see the world, and I'm always up for an adventure. My first experience abroad was a year-long (2012-2013) Rotary Youth Exchange to Taipei, Taiwan, where I met so many amazing people from all corners of the globe and had the time of my life. After that, I started college at Stony Brook University in New York, studying Anthropology and German with a minor in History. I spent the fall semester of 2014 in Kenya, at the Turkana Basin Field School, where I gained hands-on experience with many aspects of archaeological field work. Now, I'm studying for a semester at the Universität Tübingen in Germany, focusing on becoming fluent in German. I expect to graduate in May 2017, and after that, who knows where life will take me?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seems like a great way to make friends everywhere I go, and it's been highly recommended by my friends who have surfed. Not to mention it's so much more budget friendly :)

Interests

I love sports, especially outdoor ones. Hiking, running, swimming, biking, rock climbing, horseback riding, rowing, skiing, I try and do all of them and more whenever I get the chance. I row on the club team at Stony Brook, and in the summers I enjoy doing triathlons. I also love to travel, and to have crazy adventures all over the world. It's so much fun to be able to go anywhere and make new friends, and surprisingly often find out that we have mutual friends.
