I'm a recent addition to the bay area, graduated from college last year and moved out here for a job in embedded systems. Love to travel, but unfortunately don't get as much time to do it with a fulltime job :(

I love meeting new people in my travels and finding out their stories, and it's a more personable way to travel.

Interests

I love everything beverage, so I really enjoy going wine and beer tasting, tea and coffee tasting, bubble tea, and tequilas. I am currently attempting (relatively unsuccessfully) to learn Spanish. Also interested in crafting and hacking, so I have a full set of power tools and a car mechanic's tool set.

I read a lot of sci fi/fantasy and watch too many comic book TV shows. Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Tamora Pierce, Orson Scott Card (though I don't like his political views), Michael Lewis...
I also watch Elementary, Once Upon A Time, the Flash, Arrow, Daredevil, House of Cards, Fresh Off The Boat, New Girl...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Madison last year, I traveled alone for 6 weeks in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam after taking a class on the history of those countries for the last 150 years. It was amazing to meet people who had actually been affected by the history I'd learned!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A general curiosity in the way the world works, an engineering background with what I consider to be relatively good social skills, experience traveling in all conditions, respect for private space and boundaries. I would love to meet you!
