About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting rid of my unconscious biases, one day at a time.
Moved to Sydney, Australia in Feb 2016 :)

ABOUT ME

I like changing my mind, especially when it's caused by something new I've learnt about the world. I tend to be curious about too many things. Very flexible, independent and adaptable to changes.

I care about making others feel special and comfortable.

I love art, painting, drawing, photography. I've recently started an online art blog featuring emerging artists who I fall in love with every day: www.facebook.com/yet.arte.

I also like sharing little moments of my life on my Instagram profile: www.instagram.com/maggieliuzzi

I'm currently coordinating a non-for-profit, environmentally-conscious Carpool project nationally in Australia.

And I like acting or producing plays from time to time.

PHILOSOPHY

"Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is opinion". - Democritus

"The unexamined life is not worth living". - Socrates

"I am not one who knows. I've been one who seeks, and I still am. But I no longer seek in the stars or in the books; I'm beginning to hear the teachings my blood murmurs in me. My story isn't pleasant, it is not soft and harmonious like the invented stories; it tastes of meaningless, bewilderment and confusion, of madness and dream, like the life of anyone who no longer wants to lie to themselves". - Demian, Hermann Hesse

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Don't know if they are amazing, but they have definitely shaped my personality and life throughout the last 6 years:

My first ever trip abroad was to Egypt, when I was 18, to intern at a drug abuse prevention NGO in Cairo and Rehab Center at a rural area for 5 months.
I was chosen as the Argentine Delegate & Ambassador for the G(irls)20 Summit 2013, Moscow, Russia.
Travelling solo and Couchsurfing for a month in Hawaii (4 main islands).
Semester university exchange at HEC Montréal, Quebec, Canada through a scholarship by the Canadian government.
Backpacked through the north-west of Argentina and Bolivia.
International Delegate at the PCY 2015 (Peace Conference of Youth), Osaka, Japan 2015
Managed to be one of the 19 out of 1100 applicants who got an internship at Google. But after finishing it I decided I still wanted to travel the world a bit longer, found an internship as a programmer (self-taught skills mostly) and moved to Australia in Feb 2016. Very happy about it :)
