CURRENT MISSION
To conquer the world, LGBT style
ABOUT ME
Hello:) my name is Maggie. I'm a 35 year-old queer female, and I've been living in Santa Fe, NM for the past 10 years. My partner Katie and I are planning on traveling the world to make a documentary on LGBT people and communities. We hope to be traveling for a year. We are both experienced travelers, and we love to meet new people. We are also looking for queer and straight people to interview for our documentary about LGBT issues in their communities, as well as connections to local LGBT resource centers.
PHILOSOPHY
Maggie: Never let anything stop you just because you are afraid.
Katie: "Negativity is born in the gap where love has been excluded"
--Deepak Chopra

Centres d'intérêt
Maggie: I love adventure! I also love learning about new people and their cultures and challenging myself as I travel. I have been working as a clinical social worker in Espanola for the past 4-ish years, with children and families. I fuel my soul with art, photography and poetry, and make jewelry as well.
Katie: I love traveling, skiing, hiking, drinking good beer, having good conversation, and listening to great stories. I have been working as a documentary film-maker and editor for the past few years, and this has only deepened my passion for the exploration that happens through story telling. This is only matched by my love of traveling.

How to make a record bowl:
Choose an old, awesome, slightly beat-up record which you are ok with never listening to again. Pre-heat oven to 220 degrees fahrenheit. Place record on a pizza pan that you will never cook with, and let it bake for about 5-ish minutes, until soft, hot and flexible. Quickly peel the record off the pan and place it into a large bowl, pressing it slightly into the sides of the bowl until you like the form. Move quickly--it hardens fast! Wait a couple minutes, and enjoy your new, amazing record bowl. You can fill it with: keys, remote controls, candy, fruit, christmas lights, etc. Never let the temperature go higher than 220, and try not to make too many bowls at once, even though it can be addicting. A couple Christmases ago, I made 20, and then felt pretty nauseated. Do a few, and you should be fine. Enjoy! --Maggie
