Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Learn as much as possible

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty relaxed and like to make the best of everything. I love to draw, wish I could play guitar (I'm trying to learn, but my fingers are having a hard time), and love to go for walks and look at art.

PHILOSOPHY

yay!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm open to hosting and showing people around the San Francisco Bay Area, and I've stayed on couches across the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled across the country last year with my best friend. We couch surfed in Austin, Nashville, and Cincinnati. I LOVED the people we stayed with, and have had two of them stay on my couch in Oakland.

Intereses

I'm interested in art, poetry and philosophy, and love to explore and share work with other people whenever possible. I used to be interested in working in international diplomacy, so I know a lot about it, and I have a particular interest in renewable energy and development. I love to debate and I'm always interested in hearing other people's opinions and beliefs. Also, I'm really interested in the Earth System and most things related to how humans impact it.

Música, películas y libros

I mostly like feel-good movies, with the occasional really scary movie thrown in the mix.

As far as books are concerned, I go through phases. For a while I was really into weird or dystopian fantasy and read a lot of Huxley and Vonnegut, and then moved on to Golden Age centric fiction (had a huuuuuge crush on F. Scott Fitzgerald). I liked narrative history books for a minute and then got over it (I wanted to be a person who likes nonfiction ... I'm just not patient enough). Right now I just finished "Slouching Toward Bethlehem" and am moving on to "What is the What" by Dave Eggers. I'm kind of all over the place, but I loooooove to read.

I like almost all types of music, from rap to folk to classical (classical less so). My standards aren't super high. If I'm drunk I'll dance.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Mt. Everest. Whoa.
Also, I travelled around Croatia by myself for a month and the views along the coast absolutely changed my life.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I've done a lot of traveling and can give a lot of advise on what to do and what to avoid. Also, I love writing, going for big walks and exploring nature. I'd love to share work or have company.
