About Me
***** Howdy! I am spending two fabulous weeks at the University of Amsterdam as a Participant in the Digital Methods Initiative (July 2-13). The 2018 theme is "Retraining the Machine: Addressing Algorithmic Bias", and my work is on cultural platforms (of pornography!) - ask me about it and we can get really into it if I can stay with you awhile!I have done the 'tourist thing' in Amsterdam before, and this time would much rather experience something more fantastically personal - with (((YOU))) if I'm lucky****
I am both a Host and Surfer, love both equally and have made amazing friends on both ends. Hoping to keep up my CS winning streak.
Currently living in the gorgeous Plateau of Montreal, and wrapped up in graduate studies where I spend a lot of time thinking about cyborgs and pornography.
Embrace the total nerd in yourself - life is too short to be cool.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My own travel experiences are so enhanced by the people who I have surfed with that I want to give back as well! I'm a big believer in art parties, dinner parties, dance parties, movie marathons and jam sessions on my balcony.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed many a couch across Canada, Australia, Indonesia, the UK, Germany, France, Austria, Greece, Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan - and hosted couchsurfers from around the globe, many who find me through mutual friends. I've met some amazing people through the CS community.
Interests
Cafe hunting, Art in all manifestations, Urban Development, my Mandolin, Comic Books or any good read, making wine (the Gay Cat), cycling, sex education and advocacy, video games, beers with friends, midnight walks around the city, live music, and seeking out new frontiers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cannot narrow that down, so I will list the first bunch I think of:
Las Fallas Festival in Valencia!
Swimming the Comino in Malta!
The Preveli Riverwalk in Crete!
Phuong Nha caving in the DMZ, Vietnam!
Ōkunoshima (Bunny Island) in Japan!
The Pingxi Lantern Festival in Taiwan!
Good golly, there is so much good to see in the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I totally embrace the student philosophy: Always learning! I've been learning HTML and CSS, dabbled in Bellydancing, have performed in an Improv troupe, and am hauling my Mandolin around trying to improve my musicality - If you will humour me, we can jam!
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, Canada, Taiwan, United Kingdom
