Hello, friends!

My name is Maggie, I'm 24 and I am a doctor of medicine. I was born and raised in Slovakia, but I also lived in the USA and in Poland. I'm currently living in Vienna, Austria. I love all kinds of sports, languages, music, literature, writing, theater and, of course, travelling.

I am also very passionate about learning new languages, even if it's just a phrase or two, so if you teach me anything new, I'll love you forever, haha.

I believe I'm an easy-going, open-minded person who loves talking, meeting new people and getting to know other cultures. I'm more of a "sit-down-and-talk" kind of person, but I also know how to have fun at a party, so whichever you prefer is fine with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I mentioned, I love travelling, I love languages and I love meeting people. Couchsurfing lets me enjoy all three of them.

I believe that the best way to explore a new place is through local's eyes. I'd much rather see a tiny, forgotten place with an interesting story than a famous, overcrowded sight. The typical tour guides cannot compare to the experience you get with couchsurfing.

Plus I love the selflessness of it all. I love being a part of this wonderful community which is willing to share their home and free time with a stranger, expecting nothing in return.
