About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to finish all those other missions i started

ABOUT ME

i went to college in chicago for percussion performance, and i just needed a break from all that craziness, so when i graduated i decided to take my chances in europe! hamburg ist die schönste stadt der welt :-). after that i lived in lovely perth, australia for a while and loved every minute of the 70-hour work weeks followed by beaches for months. then a bit of traveling and now i'm back in chicago!

PHILOSOPHY

life is a dream. for a long time i thought i was the only one who thought that my entire life is a dream, and that at any moment i could wake up and be in a totally different life, not even remembering what has happened all these years. but then i did some reading and found that it is actually a philosophy that many people share. and then i saw inception and now everyone thinks they're living a dream. (but i actually am)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i have surfed a couple of times and made some new friends from the CS website, so even if that isn't the main purpose of the site, i think it is still a positive.

and i keep finding more people on CS that i want to talk to - it's like every person in the world has something in common, how great!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have surfed a few times, and each time it has been unforgettable! (usually for the right reasons ;-)) i am finally in a position to be able to offer a couch (well, a room) to surfers, so that is pretty exciting, even if i don't live in an exciting area. also, i convinced my dad to get on couch surfing, and now he always tells me about all the exciting people he's hosted!!!

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i have two, sorry! 1. played in the chicago symphony orchestra's hall at symphony center! it was so awesome!!!2. climbed the sears tower! (not on the outside. only spiderman can do that.) they have a charity race every year, so my friend and i did it - walked up all 110 flights of stairs. ouch.

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach you how to make really good guacamole! i can teach you how to do a drum roll if you have some drum sticks. i can teach you a little piano. i can teach you how to burn food in the oven so that it is no longer edible but the entire house still smells of it for days. ich kann dir auch ein bisschen deutsch beibringen. what else do you want to learn? and what can you teach me? (possibly spanish?)

What I Can Share with Hosts

good food, a comfy couch and bed, a friendly cat, hopefully some laughter and maybe some board games. also, a parking space for your car and knowledge of public transportation.
