About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I strive to be self sustaining, to learn, and help people out along the way. I like getting paid to be me whenever possible.
ABOUT ME
I have heard friends describe me as being adventurous, fun, and crazy. A friend also once told me I was like a cross between Doctor Phil and Joni Mitchell. Self sustainability is key and I strive to be adaptable, active, appreciative, and aware.
Interests
I like to explore. I want to explore a kitchen and make some food with whatever I find. I like to walk up mountains and climb on rocks. I want to learn something new and a little bit challenging. This year I learned to ride a motorcycle...definitely my favorite feeling! I like to garden, especially when I can cook and eat the harvest. I like the experience of creating community and also the excitement of checking out what is around the bend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I remember waking up on top of Mt Stevens in the ADK and putting a few more sticks on the hot coals which sparked up in the wind. Stevens was surrounded by the rounded silhouettes of appalachia. Because of the wind there were very few mosquitoes and I sat by the fire looking at the coals, and out at the mountains. I felt like a part of Mt Stevens, like my legs extended into the rock beneath and I stood tall over the land.
A few years later I climbed up a Mesa in New Mexico at sunset and sat. A pack of wild dogs were running in the distance. As I watched them, and the last of the sun, I felt overwhelmed by the moment; it was so special to be there then, and also it felt like every other time of the past that I had climbed and sat or come across some great beauty. I was also aware that these moments would come again in my future, and that feeling is like a pushpin in my life and all those moments are a collection of perfection, connected. I could not guess then what I have seen since, as now I do not know what will come next, and still I find that feeling.
