About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Befriend the world

ABOUT ME

I'm most comfortable when I'm uncomfortable. I have a tendency to buy bus tickets to cities I've never visited and bum around for a few days until I have obligations back home. I grew up in Colorado (and still adore it there), but moved to Edmonton for university because I read online it was the best capital city to see the Northern Lights.

PHILOSOPHY

If you're not out of your comfort zone, you're not moving forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surf, host. I like to experience being with new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of the best experiences are the ones where it's 2am, bars are closing, you think to yourself "it's a park bench night", and a stranger offers you a place to stay.

Interests

I love music, festivals, and walking around. I read, have penpals, and get stir-crazy if I spend more than 3 hours doing nothing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love anything from folk music to garage-punk type music. I prefer live shows to electronic, and albums over singles. For movies, I like oldies and anything new that has substance (sorry, Michael Bay). I will read just about anything, although my favorite is probably Hunchback Of Notre Dame.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think moving to Edmonton was the most amazing thing I've ever done. I used to be a shy, nerdy, very reserved person. I learned, when I learned Edmonton was an amazing place, that you gain a lot more from being a "yes" than from being a "maybe".

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not very good at anything in particular, but I can probably give a few very basic lessons in banjo or ukulele, teach you how to bake something featuring Colorado legalities, and I've been told I'm good at motivating people to try new things. I'd love to learn a little bit of anything and everything.
