I'm a very stubborn person, always chasing my dreams. Open-minded and tolerant but intolerant of poeple who act as if they were the one and only on this planet.
I am patient and hardly ever get angry.
I love travelling and if I could I would spend the rest of my life moving from one place to another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host travellers but unfortunately not that often as I would love.

When I travel I try to spend some time with local people, get to know their way of living, touch their culture if I have a chance.
I love talking to people; it doesn't matter the subject, let it be politics, religion, cultural differences etc, but sharing travel experiences is always awesome.
Besides, when I'm away I always try to cook Żurek* for my hosts as sharing a local cuisine is part of a cultural exchange, isn't it?

*żurek - a sour rye soup made of soured rye flour usually served with chicken eggs and meat (boiled pork sausage or pieces of smoked sausage, bacon or ham). It is specific to Poland.

Interests

My greatest passion is photography and travelling, none of which can exist without the other. I'm more and more into mountain climbing.
After I had kicked cancer's ass I've been thinking a lot about my life, my goals, values, happiness. Now I'm practising self development and I'm more and more into it.
I love running.
So far I've finished marathons:
13.10.2013 in Poznan
12.10.2014 in Poznan
19.04.2015 in Cracow
One day I will finish New York Marathon and then the Iron Man triathlon, who knows...

Music, Movies, and Books

Travel books. I have one which is my favourite - "501 must-visit cities of the world".
I have a dream to visit them all. I have visited 71 so far so there's a long way ahead. Will you help me reach the remaining 430?
"Into Thin Air" - perhaps one day I will make it to Everest :-)
Now I'm planning to climb Mount Elbrus in 2016

Films: David Lynch rules. I wish I could swap my brain for his just for a while in order to understand his films, especially "The Eraser Head".
"Into the Wild" is an inspiration.

I used to be a maniac of "The X-files". I have got all the series on CDs and when I have time I'm going to watch all the episodes one more time.
But now the greatest TV series is Games Of Thrones.

Music: I used to listen to metal music only. Now I'm open to all kinds of music. At the moment I rediscover Pink Floyd and Mike Oldfield.
Dead Can Dance, Within Temptation, Hurts. I've been a great fan of ANATHEMA since 1995.
