Luck comes to those who leave room for it (thats Terry Pratchett not my own phrase). The best things in my life happen to me when i have just done something ill thought out and a bit odd.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I am spending the next month or so travelling I am excited to see how this couch surfing works. I have heard only good things from my friends that have already done it.
Comparing when i have gone somewhere to visit someone I have always been exposed to much more interesting treats just following what the guide book suggests.
Once i get back to NZ I will be in a position to host others which i am really looking forward to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed on the most excellent sustainable farm in Turkey, met some couchsurfers in Rhodes and Istanbul.
However, before all that I have dribbled over a range of couches, floors, paddocks, beaches, and airport terminals but not arranged through this website

Some of my favorite movies are Donnie Darko, Fifth Element, Harvey Krumpet, 300, Pan's Labrynth, Dr Strangelove, they all sound a bit escapist I cant think of any more realistic films at the moment. A guilty pleasure is starship troopers and the princess bride

I enjoy reading anything by Grahame Greene, John Irving, P.D. James, Charles Dickens, Evelyn Waugh, Terry Prachett, Peter Carey. Keri Hulme

Music I like includes Nick Cave, Pulp, Decemberists, Tom Waits, Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, the Kinks, Jolie Holland

I would like to learn about beekeeping
I would like to learn a musical instrument.
I can knit and sew and garden. I can deliver a baby (lamb and human) hopefully that will never need to be proved on my travels.
