About Me
Hello there, human reading this! My name's Magnus and I just finished my voice acting degree (I know, right) in Stuttgart, Germany. I love talking with people, so I kind of started making talking a career by studying "Sprechkunst" (which roughly translates to "voice acting"). Things I'm passionate about include literature and theater, tea, mario kart and finding the objectively best café in every city I visit. I also like sports, dance, acrobatics (I'm bad at it) and I picked up boxing like two weeks ago.
A few years ago I kind of got into cooking, mostly I copy stuff from food blogs. I'm 1.93m, which in combination with my super cool and active lifestyle leads to an enormous need for calories - so lots of room to experiment. Let's try some wacky recipe together :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've couch-surfed my way through Canada and the US like seven years ago and loved the experience. Originally, I mostly wanted to save money, but some of the connections I made still hold to this day. Getting to know people, the similarities and differences between you and them, seeing the world through their eyes, if only for a day or two, is just amazing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Persepolis, Waltz With Bashir, Films by Andrei Tarkowski, Don Hertzfeldt, Maren Ade, Quentin Tarantino and lots of others.
My taste in music is very eclectic. A friend once told me: "Magnus, it's weird. Half of this stuff I think is absolutely amazing, the other half is just giving me migraines."
Books: Kafka, David Foster Wallace, Dostojewski, Thomas Bernhard. There are tons of other authors I enjoy though
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you: How to play the drums (need drumset or at least some stuff to hit on), speaking German, voice acting, strumming chords on a guitar while singing, cooking tasty stuff, reciting poetry (no kidding).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my by now almost decent cooking skills, tea (never travel without it) or questionable opinions on literature and theater. Especially, I would like to share my time with you, be it for conversation, food, tea, sports, sight seeing or all of the above.
