ABOUT ME

mmh... a creative boy who enjoys meeting people to appreciate the moment. And I must confess that I'm a little bit addicted to the sea, have to see and feel it from time to time not to loose my positive state of mind =).

PHILOSOPHY

To be open and sensitive to everyone and great things will happen =)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books from Paul Auster, Ian McEwan, John Irving, Thomas Pynchon and Uwe Timm.

My musical horizon spans from garage rock to indie elektro, from instrumental hip hop to reggae, I'm quite indistinctive with the genre but not with the music itself. And if it's too mainstream it just sometimes happens that I react a little bit allergic to it =). My favourite band/songwriter of the moment is definitely still Caribou... and a new favourite since MELT 2011! - Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - too sweeeet =)

I love to go to the cinema. Rian Johnsons Brick and Brothers Bloom, Cinema Paradiso from Giuseppe Tornatore as well as Slumming from austrian director Michael Glawogger just come to my mind as all time favourites. David Lynchs films disturb me and are so interesting at the same time. What more? Riding Giants, Superbad, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind, Rushmore and other films by Wes Anderson, Wallace & Groomit, and definitely C'est la vie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Iran and especially Esfahan - magic vibe and wonderful people everywhere.
And then of course my little trip around the world. Best idea in my life so far. So glad and thankful that I had the opportunity. All the love, all the people I met, thank you so much!

Teach, Learn, Share

Intercultural exchange, learning from each other by exchanging views and experiences.
I could teach german, a little bit of english, french and spanisch and help out beginner surfers and snowboarders but still have to learn a lot by myself.
I love to learn cooking the favourite dishes of the regions I stay at. And kitesurfing and paragliding are still on my list of must-do sports...
