About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to go to israel!

ABOUT ME

I know I live in a box, I think everyone does. The question is, how big is your box? And how are the walls painted? I try to expand my box every day, and find some fitting wall paper; sometimes its a scenic view of dark forest and hills, sometimes its the sloping streets and brightly-colored houses of the Sunset district in San Francisco. Sometimes its just plaid. I really like plaid. and houndstooth.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in moderation, even moderation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The majority of my experience with CS has been hosting two travelers a few months ago with my roommates. We used my roommates profile to host them, and I've been itching to get into the program ever since, my girlfriend and I just couchsurfed for the first time in Vienna and had a wonderful experience!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hoping to get some more experience soon!

Interests

photography, conceptual art (any art with an idea behind it works in my book), bicycles (I'm from Davis, the bike capitol of the world), German literature--especially of the 19th century and beyond, film, arts and crafts, jumping up and making funny faces in front of tourists' cameras when they're trying to take pictures of places like the golden gate bridge or cable cars, cooking, craft beer, german bread, nutella (ok, I really like food--you caught me), people-watching, learning dorky facts about history or religions or geography or culture of any sort, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Naples, Italy. Just surviving that city is amazing because the drivers there are so insane! I swear that more than one of them tried to shave the back of my legs with their car.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some basic german or english--I'm not a bad language teacher. I know something about bike mechanics too.

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
