About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn, to share, to be a bit useful....

ABOUT ME

We're a Belgian and a Brit, we live in Brussels, Belgium. In 2008-9 we took a sabbatical year out and did some volunteering/travelling in California, Ecuador and Scotland.

PHILOSOPHY

A better world starts with simple things... try to leave things better than you find them..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We enjoyed some great couchsurfing hospitality on our travels, and now we are back home would like to offer our couch in return, to continue to meet other travellers, share some perspectives on life the universe and everything with new people, be challenged, wrestle with new ideas.....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've couchsurfed in California, and in Ecuador... there's an amazing amount of incredible hospitality out there! Now the world has started to arrive at our door to surf our couch (from Australia, Italy, Canada...) and we like it a lot!

Interests

Languages, knitting (yes really!), yoga, gardens, Russian literature, bikes, playing with nieces and nephews, the Great Outdoors....

Music, Movies, and Books

Have recently enjoyed John Steinbeck's The Log of the Sea of Cortez, and Dave Eggers' What is the What?. All time fave is Bulgakov's Master and Margarita.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many amazing things!!!..... On our year of travels I saw real hummingbirds for the first time and that was pretty amazing. Oh, and we saw a volcano erupt in Ecuador. Closer to home we watch miracles happen everyday in our garden.....
