About Me

After some time of hosting and not very satisfying experience I decide to leave Couchsurfing. You can find me now on AirBnB.
www.airbnb.ie/rooms/14857381
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's get some important things straight. BEFORE you send request for stay, read this:
Are you Freeloader? (http://couchwiki.org/en/Freeloader) Then don't bother to send request. Really. First get understand meaning of Couchsurfing (it is NOT free hostel!!!) and THEN decide, whether it suit your needs and you are ready to open yourself. That mean:
- empty profile? Fill it! I will not let you into my house, if you have one big zero in your profile. So please put there about yourself as much as possible and be ready to be opened, it might avoid straight away refusal.
- No copy/paste requests! I am not "Hi", "Hello", "Hi there" or similar. Made effort to customize your request, use my real name, read my profile, mention some things you interesting from it, why you wanna stay with me. You don't need to inspect every single word, but if I get any feeling your request is just template (or you just Freeloader) - request will be rejected. End of story.
Other important things:
- one night stay - NO.
- single man surfer (or only men)- NO.
- no independent references - NO COUCH.
(independent reference mean only from stranger person you meet via CS as surfers/hosts, not from your childhood friend, sister, mother-brother-cousin whoever you grab just to have "reference". Those doesn't count at all.)
- don't ask for couch for more than 2-3 weeks in advance.
- no dogs, no drugs, no parties!
ALL ABOVE - NO EXCEPTION! And 'no exception' mean -NO- exception.

My advice - read this:
http://couchwiki.org/en/How_to_write_a_couch_request

I understand that most people think that it is good chance to get accommodation (practically for free), but that's mistake. Please understand, it is about cultural interaction and exchange, not just for saving money.

And finally about me:
Forget that "bitchy" introducing above. I am nice and polite person. :D
I'm taciturn introvert, strictly no smoking or drugs.
I like intelligent, not noisy nor messy people, with great sense of fairness and reliability.
I had travel a lot in past, now stuck in Ireland for couple years to make money for next journey.

Personal motto:
"In omnibus requiem quaesivi, et nusquam inveni nisi in angulo cum libro."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's great opportunity to meet new and interesting people, not just through short chat with them in pub, but in more personal and friendly environment. Also as traveler in past and with solid plan for future, I understand and have favor for this, so I offering free capacity for another "soulmates" :) And preparing to high probability of using hospitality from another CS hosts in future.

Music, Movies, and Books

classical music, Vangelis, Jarre, Queen, Enya, Sia... but sometimes have no problem even with Guano Apes... :D
movies - sci-fi, japanese, drama, oldies...
books books books. Yes! I am bookworm. Or kindle-worm, be precise. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just couple years ago - private sailing adventure across South Pacific from Chile to New Zealand...
(here is document: https://youtu.be/btWXpkOoPTA)

Oh yeah, and one such old, that is almost forgotten. Establish and run my own dance troupe strictly without any sponsor money, until we sold out city culture hall with our own dance show...
(here is whole show: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RJEoJJtpQU)

hope is enough "miracles" :D

Teach, Learn, Share

As chef by profession I can teach you cook, or at least how to handle knife... :)
Also how to handle computer easier. What I need to learn, is diplomacy. Really, I prefer straight honesty instead polite talks, which some people may feel uncomfortable. Can share my knowledge and stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hospitality, safe and clean place for stay, healty food and GREAT coffee, internet access and shower/hot tube bath (if you need) are matter of course, some advice where to go or what to see, can help you to save a little money with bus prepaid card or borrow bike for short trips...
Just ask what you wish, need or require.
Well, I have not too much favor for revelry or drinking until pass out (neither local noisy pubs), but I like to get to know my guests and spend time with them, have a good chat, share our travel stories with tea or coffee...

Because of my upside-down work schedule (working and living in nights, sleeping during the day) I rarely can show you the sights of Dublin, so mostly I expect you to look after yourself. Of course I can help you with some advices and directions, where to go or what to see...
I prefer to spend a min of two nights with guest so we can get to know each other and do the cultural exchange thing, max. one week is quite enough but always open depending on how cool you are and how well we get on.
