About Me
Hello! I'm Mahdi Keshavarz, originally from Iran (born in Shiraz, grew up in Tehran) and now living in Berlin. I'm using Couchsurfing to connect with locals and experience places authentically.
I'm generally easy-going, curious, and friendly. My main interests are discussing culture and history, and cooking together.
As a guest, I'm tidy, considerate, and grateful for the hospitality. Happy to chat and share, but also understand the need for personal space.
Looking forward to potential adventures and cultural exchange!

Music, Movies, and Books
You could definitely call me a bookworm – I almost always have a book with me and love diving into different worlds and ideas. Always happy to swap recommendations!
Musically 🎶, my tastes are pretty broad and I enjoy a real mix: you'll find everything from Classical and Jazz to Rock, Blues, and Country on my playlists. I'm always curious to hear local sounds or discover new artists too.
When it comes to screen time, I'm much more of a movie person than a series watcher these days. I love settling in for a good film – feel free to share your favorites!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing? Definitely my two-month, long-distance hitchhiking trip. I relied on rides from generous strangers to cover a huge distance, even managing to hitchhike on a boat! It was packed with adventures and diverse experiences – including spending some time living on an island. But the best part was meeting so many diverse people and making real connections along the way. It was a true testament to human kindness and the thrill of unconventional travel.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always eager to learn about the culture, history, and daily life of the places I visit and the people I meet – please share your stories! Coming from Iran, I'm equally happy to share insights about Persian culture and history in return. One of my favorite ways to connect is through food, so I'd love the chance to cook some authentic Persian dishes together. And for fun, I'm a big fan of dancing Bachata – always happy to find fellow dancers or check out a local dance spot!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Above all, as a guest, I bring my deep appreciation for your hospitality – I usually try to bring a small gift from Iran as a token of thanks! – and my commitment to being respectful, tidy, and considerate of your home and lifestyle. I genuinely enjoy cultural exchange, so I'm always happy to share stories about my Iranian background or my travel adventures, and I love learning from my hosts too. One concrete way I enjoy contributing is by cooking – I'd be thrilled to share a taste of Persian cuisine with you! I'm adaptable, easy-going company, and mindful of helping keep things tidy.
