I am a travel lover who is passionate to explore the world to see different places, experience new adventures and more importantly, to meet new people to have the chance to know different cultures, different life styles, and make new friends!

Currently, I am a university professor in Iran (this is my official webpage: http://sharif.edu/~mjafari). I got my PhD in Computer and Communication Sciences from Ecole polytechnique federale de Lausanne, Switzerland.

There are still a plenty of items on my adventure list that have not got checked yet! Plenty of places that I have marked to see, many different cultures that I have not yet gotten the chance to become familiar with, and many more experiences that I am enthusiastically looking forward to explore. These will not be fully experienced if you do not put yourself in the local peoples' shoes for a while. That is the only way I think I can get first-hand experience about their perspective, life style and history.

I am very interested in watching movies. In particular those ones that have some impact on me. To mention some of my favourites I can write: Inception (2010), The Double Life of Veronique (1991), Three Colors: Blue (1993), Shutter Island (2010), The Great Gatsby (2013), A Separation (2011), The Godfather (three parts: 1972, 1974, 1990), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), The Prestige (2006), Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999), Coffee and Cigarettes (2003), and many mores! :)

I'm not that much TV series enthusiast! However, I've watched Friends and The Big Bang Theory and enjoyed them a lot!

I have done cliff jumping in Hong Kong! For me, it took quite some time to overcome my fear and jump down the 10m high cliff. But after passing that particular moment, I experienced one of the most amazing things I've ever done!
