Hey dear Couchsurfing Community I am Henning, a young student in my third year from Germany.
I really enjoy to get an insight experience of other cultures and meet new people and think that Couchsurfing is by far the best west way to get to know a country even in a relatively short period of time.

After I finished school, I travelled around Southeast Asia, Korea and Japan for a couple of months and every time I was able to find a Couchsurfing host my stay was even more interesting! Not only because you get to know the culture so much better but also because I always got to know my hosts quite well and really met interesting, kinda and gentle people through Couchsurfing.

So I am really looking forward to stay with you and having a nice conversation while having a beer or eating dinner at your favorite place :-)

Centres d'intérêt

Beside from travelling, there are of course many more things I am interested in. I like to go to Museums, visit new cities, go running, take and edit photos, play and watch football (soccer), watch films and TV series, read some books, and ride my Koga Miyata Roadrunner but I also like stuff like going for a walk, cooking, shopping or clubbing.
Beside from the things already listed I really love to eat in snack bars, restaurants or whatever, so I am always happy to taste something new :-)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I do not really have particular genres or a kind of music I really hate and I would basically say that I listen to anything that is good music. But I do have some preferences I guess :-P
Beside from my favorite artists (i.e. Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, the Smiths, Hyukoh, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Neil Young, Tame Impala) I like to listen to jazz (i.e. Paul Desmond), french chanson (i.e. Jaques Brel), rap/hip hop (i.e. Keith Ape, Frank Ocean), Techno/Electronic (i.e. Robag Wruhme, Yeaji), traditional music, german music and also some Pop Music.
But maybe we could listen to some music together and you have some good recommendations for me ;-)

There are quite a few movies I really like. I guess I am a little film geek 🤓
So I will just list my top 10 movies till now:

-Burning (I also love Haruki Murakami books, I guess thats why I enjoyed this movie so much)

Sadly I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted the last year, because we had so many exams but the last three months I started to read more again and it just feels so good to me. It doesn’t really matter wheather I am reading a novel or a book obout philosophy or anything like this. I like reading because this is one of the best ways to see the world from another perspective or getting a new influence or new ideas. The last three books I red were:
1. „The Glass Bell Jar“ written by Sylvia Plath
2. „Demian“ written by Hermann Hesse
3. „1984“ written by George Orwell

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Well since I am not able to play an instrument I can’t play for you at your home, but since I really enjoy cooking I could cook something while I show you some of the music I am listening to. Beside from that I will do my best to be a nice guest at your place, so you won’t regret hosting me ;-)
