One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I entered a port all sails set at around 8 knots (without engine) and when zigzaging to try to slow down the boat, I almost lost one of my crew members in the water. The boom (the beam perpendicular to the mast) hurt him at high speed. Happily, he managed to partially dodge it and grab a part of the boat to avoid falling in the water. He just got a scratch on his forehead and all ended well but it is one of my most thrilling moments !
~
