Hi! My name is Mahin. :) I'm a college student at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I am working toward two bachelor's degrees in environmental science and biochemistry. I am fluent in French, and have studied Spanish. I am American-Canadian, and I grew up in Toronto and in Montreal for a few years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is one of my favourite hobbies! I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I couchsurfed for the first time this summer in Portland, OR and I had a blast meeting fellow Couchsurfers! :)

Interests

I am huge movie buff! When I'm not busy, I go to the movie theatre pretty often. I'm willing to watch any genre. Most recently, I've seen the Last Jedi; I, Tonya; and Lady Bird. (The first two were pretty great, BTW)

I'm really into theatre (well, musicals) too. I enjoy debating and talking politics. I started a Francophone club at my university and we regularly host cultural events, so it's safe to say that the Francophonie + French culture are big interests of mine.
