Hello Everyone! My name is Mahitha. I am doing my Master’s in International Affairs at Boston University. I also hold a Master’s degree in Media and Communications from Swinburne University, Australia. Apart from that, I also hold several diplomas. Yes, yes, I love studying and learning new things.

I write articles for news websites when time permits and mostly study everything that is happening in the world from wars, humanitarian crises, environmental issues, relations between countries and many more. I want to visit all the conflict areas in the world to see and understand the problems there better to draft solutions. I aspire to work in the UN someday as a humanitarian.

I love exploring new cultures and food. More than sightseeing, I enjoy talking to people and would be interested in their cultures and traditions. I am always down for a chat with a cup of coffee. As much as I would love to travel all the time, unfortunately, I only get time during my semester breaks, and I try to travel then as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I enjoy meeting new people and am open to new cultures and traditions. I started travelling four years ago, and I am enjoying it soo much. I heard of couch surfing recently from a friend, and I like the idea of hosting people and connecting with new people and wanted to try it.
