Hello. I am Maiko Kawamura, living in Germany now.
I am from Chiba prefecture, which locates next to Tokyo. I often go to Tokyo to have fun such as shopping, movies, meeting up with friends, finding new delicious foods etc...
I used to live in Tokyo alone for 4 years, so I can handle most of the house works.

Where I have lived
Most of my life I spent in Chiba, Japan.
I have lived and studied in the USA for a year when I was 17. I homestayed with an American lady and a cat.
3 months in Toronto, Canada when I was 25. Shared a room with a mexican girl, a korean girl.

My Dream
My dream came true in December 2015! To live in Rothenburg ob der tauber, Germany !!! ;)

Work
I used to be an instructor at a driving school in Japan . I worked there for 7 years after I graduated from a university. I left the company July 2014. Now I work in Germany .

I like to know new cultures, by knowing other cultures you can understand your culture once again. Oops, I have to study Japanese culture! haha
Well, I think it's so interesting to know how people live differently on this planet.

I'm an honest, cheerful and happy girl with some sense of humor :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am interested in the real lives outside of Japan and want to see and learn their daily lives. I've traveled a lot but usually by organized tour.

It'd be awesome to get to know people in the countries and make friends all over the world!
