Hi! I’m Maia from Denver, CO. I was born in China! I go to college in Massachusetts. I looove everything active and outdoors and meeting new people! I love love traveling and have been all over the world. I am a huge foodie and am also a yes person! I like to stay busy and am super down for trying new things and immersing myself in local culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have not really used couch surfing much, but I want to use it more to meet more people and be more immersed in local culture as opposed to just the "tourist" or "vacationer" experience. I definitely prefer traveling over vacationing -- from eating any local food, whether it's street food or home cooked, I love finding hidden gems, and have definitely had my fair share of 10+ hour bus and train rides, 24 hour last minute trips, bare bones camping trips, and tons of solo travel. I am pretty spontaneous and definitely a YES person :) I'm pretty much always up for anything. I feel like that is the type of people on couch surfing, so I'm just hoping to connect with more like minded people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

--Kayaked and backpacked in the Alaska wilderness for 1 month
--Lived in Peru for 2 months and backpacked and camped a ton and saw Machu Picchu
--I did a 24 hour trip to Budapest planned the night before leaving from Vienna!
--Swam with whale sharks

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can speak Spanish and Chinese in addition to English. I have tons of hobbies and passions I would love to share with anyone and am always down to learn and try new things! I am a super adventurous eater and am always willing to help clean or help out! I love learning about and meeting new people ☺️
