ABOUT ME

A personal description, huh? In a nutshell, I'm just out here figuring myself out. It will take a lifetime to finish growing, learning, and changing. Because we never actually stop doing these things... Once you have, you've stopped living...
Simple, surface things? I'm 23, exploring the world, working in most countries I visit in order to see beneath the surface that you see as a tourist. I don't want to be a tourist, I want to be a traveler. And remembering that every moment, good and bad, is a valuable learning experience:)

PHILOSOPHY

Do good. That's it. Do good for others, do good for yourself. People in their hearts know right from wrong...do the right thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling long term (until my money runs out) and it is nice to meet open minded people along the way. I feel most people here either have a passion for travel themselves, or they just like to help, and both of these are amazing to me. I would like to make friends as well as perhaps be hosted.

Interests

I love traveling. It's what I do for work, it's what I do for life, and it's what I do to keep my soul happy and my head sane (although sometimes it makes me feel a little insane).
I write, a lot. The two things always found in my bag are a pen and paper.
I miss making music and I miss dancing, as these are the two things I did a lot at home which are a bit hard to find while constantly on the move, but I do my best.
Until I began this trip in March, I was a performance artist, bartending as my "day job".
I love the act of creating in every way possible, whether it's making crafts with my hands, images with my words, songs with my voice, passion in others through encouragement, or simply cooking a meal...creation is magic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen many amazing things in my years of travel, and of staying at home, but i have to say...the thing that has had me in awe recently, is the overwhelming support and positivity from our friends and family. My mom, sister, and I had our passports stolen in Malaysia, and our friends and family immediately came together to help us. I am in awe of people's capacity to love and help one another, and I am immensely grateful of these things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn anything people have to offer. All education is valuable I think. I'd love to improve my Spanish (which is very very beginner). I enjoy hearing others travel stories and experiences.
Teach... Well... I crochet and I perform... Not sure if these are skills others are interested in learning...
