About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Go. Just go. And leave the insignificant things behind.
ABOUT ME
I was a travel addict as a teenager. From that infectious youth, I determined to study international development. Today, I manage and shoot for a photography studio while planning my next big move to the East Coast (or South Asia or North Africa or . . . ).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Here to connect with good people. Host when I have the capacity. And get out and surf--so soon.
Interests
Food. Truly, I am infamous for loving and gorging on any and all dishes. I love the ideas of meals and togetherness. I want to learn all I can about small-scale and global food systems, and taste-test all along the way.
I am alive when I dance. Done some performing; but I most love the freedom of other spaces. I love the lights and bass of a club. I love spontaneous raves in someone's home. I love the thump of a traditional song and dance. Take me dancing.
I used to want photography to take me places. Now it's a job and an often-forgotten love. I hope to put more vigor into my learning and experience with taking pictures.
People who some call the 'least of these' tug at my heart. I'd rather have tea with a person who has no physical home than party with a celebrity of sorts. I pray I never loose that sentiment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the most wildly exhilarating time of my life white-water rafting down the Nile in Jinja, Uganda. And proud to say I was a lead paddler on my first exhibition.
Riding an elephant through the tangled hills and splattered paddies of Thailand was as romantic and amazing as it sounds.
The most formative time of my life was spent camping in the rim of the Kalahari Desert for two months. I connected to nature (in a very intimate way, ahem, the "bathroom"); I connected my small understanding of the world to a bigger scope; and I found my heart's most desperate pursuit in little girl named Kazararu at an orphanage.
