ABOUT ME

My name is Maik and I live in Berlin.
I was born and raised up there.

I met, worked and talked with a lot of people from different countries and everyone was unique in their own kind of ways.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry, be happy

When I was in canada my math teacher taught us an interesting quote from Aristotle:
"The more you know, the more you know you don't know."
It really sticks in my head since that day.
For me it means that you always have to stay curious . It is always easy to stick with a known area/field, but it can be really exciting if you leave your comfortable zone and explore the unknown.

I think you have to combine a bit of everything in yourself to become a good person.
Whereas everything can mean a lot of things, like different: characteristics, behaviour, activities, knowledge, views, experience.

Thats why I dislike extremes. It is bad if you exagerate one thing - so it is all about finding a good balance. You can adapt that philosophy on all aspects of life.

so if you have similar or different views, we might have a good discussion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The people I have written with are all nice and what all members of CS share is the love for travelling and making new experiences!
I have also been to some couchsurfer meetings in Warsaw and Helsinki - it was a great thing for me.

I already hosted different groups from different countries and cultures. Some of them left references on my page and i also left some references for them!

I'd very much like to welcome people from America/Canada

Interests

phew.... Many...
I like to try all kind of interesting things and sometimes it is hard for me to keep on doing them. Its not that i dont have the ambition, it is more that there are just so many beautiful activities you can participate.
I do the following sports: Watersports (Wakeboarding, Windsurfing), Martial arts, snowboarding
I used to do ball room dancing for about 4 years.
I like to: chill, party (club), meet new people, travel (of course), dancing
