ABOUT ME

A friend once said 'I'm silent but deadly'- I guess that would describe me quite well.
People usually know me as the quiet, shy, observant and sensible girl but once they get to know me better they see the adventurous and crazy side of me. Once I know someone well I just can't stop talking. Most friends would probably describe me as a funny, bubbly, smiley person (hence my nickname Smiley Maili). I'm very open minded, tolerant, adventurous, curious, relaxed, laid back, kind, caring and genuine.
I always try to see a positive side in everything. The best part of me is probably my big heart and I don't take it well if someone tries to take an advantage of it.
I treasure my friends very highly and would go more than 1000 miles for them...
I can be a bit of a perfectionist at times. I believe that if something is worth doing, it's worth do be done well. Whatever I do, I try and put a piece of my heart in it.
I like having challenges in life and constantly set up new challenges for myself.
I like people who are passionate about what they do or what they believe in.
I believe that openness and kindness are very important in life and you get back what you put in.

If there is a will, there is a way!!
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Never loose your spirit!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a couch available at the moment...yet. But I'd definitely like to host in the future. At the moment I like meeting people for different activities. I'm also very happy to advise people to my best ability who are new to London. I like taking part in CS events if ever I get time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very positive so far! I first heard about this project 4 months ago when I was put in touch with a few couchsurfers. Have met even more members of this community and only heard of positive experiences. Finally have picked up the courage to join myself :)

Centres d'intérêt

I like keeping myself busy by doing sports- used to be a sports addict :), going out for a drink or movie, reading books etc. I enjoy meeting new people, learning of new cultures, traveling and exploring the world. I like nature, wildlife, camping. I absolutely love dancing- once I start I just can't stop. Good company, good wine, good conversations...

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I enjoy anything with some kind of a learning or thought provoking experience. I enjoy reading of different cultures, true life stories, occasionally fiction. I love music- anything arabic instrumental music to the latest dance hits. Oh, yes- I love True Blood and vampires and the other mystical creatures :)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Quing up for 4 hours to see the embalmed body of Lenin in Moscow 25 years ago seemed like a very awsome moment back then.
Probably becoming a member of this amazing project uniting people all over the world.
